6th Annual Austin Modern Home Hour

It is time again! The 6th Annual Austin Modern Home Tour on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM will have plenty of dream-worthy homes and opportunities to meet while asking questions to the builders and architects behind these creative dwellings.
From honest materials to an embrace of new technologies, you’ll see modern design with Texas flair. Discover how Austinites are blurring the line between indoors and out with glass walls, breezeways, and an open-to-sky shower. See interesting uses of repurposed materials like polycarbonate windows and tree stump tables. Ticket holders will explore the homes and enjoy panoramic views on rooftop decks and terraces.
“I believe the Modern Home Tour is a fun part of an important effort to bring attention to the modern and sustainable lifestyle. Its purpose is simple – to highlight and promote the collaborative exchange between Real Estate Professionals, Architects and Developers and to invite Austinites to join the Modern Movement,” Krisstina Wise, CEO of The GoodLife Team and founder of The Modern Home Tour Austin.
Attendees will explore modern as a way of life in the homes and enjoy panoramic views on rooftop decks and terraces. The Modern Home Tour Austin was created to encourage Austin’s efforts to become more modern, to showcase the spectacular modern architecture already present in our great city and to introduce Austinites to the Modern Lifestyle while embracing the changing times.

“In the 2013 Austin Modern Home Tour you will see homes designed by some very talented Austin modern architects and fantastic modern homes currently on the market. Join us on February 2nd to be wowed and inspired.” Says Wise.
Ticket holders will have the opportunity to ask questions, garner ideas and use them in their own home for $25 at: https://modernhometouraustin.wufoo.com/forms/austin-modern-home-tour-tickets/ and picked up at designated will call locations. Tickets will also be available at all properties for $30 the day of the tour. Children under 12 are free. Admission ticket includes entrance into all homes on the tour plus access to the Modern Home Tour After Party and Architect Panel at iPic Theaters at The Domain Austin (3225 Amy Donovan Plaza Austin, TX 78758) following the tour from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
