Major Grammy categories to feature eight nominees

The Recording Academy has announced that the amount of nominees selected in major Grammy categories such as Record, Song and Album of the Year and Best New Artist, will be expanded from five to eight. The change was announced to Recording Academy members on Tuesday and will be implemented with the 61st annual Grammy Awards in 2019. Joe Jackson, the patriarch and manager of the musical Jackson family, including the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson as a solo artist and Janet Jackson, has died at the age of 89. Janet Jackson called police to check on the welfare of her 1-year-old son Eissa Al Mana who she shares with estranged husband Wissam Al Mana. Yvonne Staples, a member of her family's pop and soul group the Staple Singers, has died at the age of 80. Donald Glover announces Childish Gambino tour

As his rap persona Childish Gambino, Donald Glover has announced a 13-date North American arena tour for this September in support of his third studio album, Awaken, My Love!
