From the Publisher: When positive thinking is not enough

6:00 pm by admin Leave a Comment

Think and grow rich. You can determine your fate. If the mind can perceive it, the body can achieve it. Really?

There is a fine line of what you want to be so and what is so. Recently I read the book, “The Law of Attraction.” And yes, I must admit, I have put together some amazing months with some amazing events that surely must be attributed to the universe smiling favorably upon me.

That is not to say there haven’t been disappointments. I guess it depends on how or when you are keeping score.

Speaking of setbacks, I didn’t get exactly what I wanted when I wanted it, but that is not to say that it’s not coming, but if it doesn’t come when I want it, then what good is it to me.

Sometimes, it’s not about you. Meaning, if I longed for Halle Berry, if that is inconsistent with Ms. Berry’s wishes then not only is it not going to happen, then it’s probably best that it doesn’t happen, especially for Ms. Berry.

It’s all part of change and growth. You have to keep growing. The challenge is not when you get what you want, but when you come up short.

The measure of a man and all.

You have to demonstrate that fortitude. And when you are pushing through, perhaps that is when you are the most attractive. That’s that passion that others want to be associated.

Dreams are what pushed you to new heights. A friend of mine has been in a bad relationship for a long time.

He recently met what appeared to be a lovely woman. The new relationship appeared fine, but it was not to be either. He came to me and told me the story and how if he failed with two women and since he was the common denominator all of his problems must be his fault.

I told him that he may have a point. But what he neglected to mention was that neither woman was looking for the same thing he was seeking.

They were not interested in a healthy, adult, long-term relationship. I went on to say that he had to see the big picture.

He needed to realize what he wasn’t going to meet the person of his dreams while he was still wasting his time with those women that were not a good match for him.

I didn’t mean for this to turn into Dear Abby, but the point is that the truth can be found at many places.

There is old story about three people are blindfolded touching an elephant. They all have different answers, but they are all right. It’s an elephant. It just depends on what you are holding.

So go grab and elephant and take control of your situation and make turn it into what you want.
